LMS Specialist
Job Description
The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist provides technical leadership and supports the business operations of our ERP Education & Training team, by overseeing, managing, structuring all content, disseminating, and reporting on and for all LMS tasks. This role will require expert level skills to support the division for all LMS tasks and operational needs. This position is often a first point of contact and needs to approachable, reliable and be able to critically think and problem solve quickly.Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on LMS functionality and processes, as well as providing LMS support to the Implementation Operation teams.
- Is the ERP Division primary point of contact for all LMS related items.
- Participates in periodic Tyler-wide LMS stakeholder meetings.
- Provides guidance and recommendations for decisions and/or problem resolution related to LMS.
- Supports the Education & Training Team by processing all information in LMS to include creating classes, maintaining, and uploading all training content, completing employee information, entering test scores, registering associates, reviewing, and analyzing survey results, researching database for information, and researching and resolving system-related problems.
- Responsible for understanding data integration between the LMS and other information systems, as well as providing technical support, troubleshooting, and testing activities, when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to identify and create trainings, as needed.
- Support the Leadership Team by way of tracking and reporting to ensure assigned and required training is completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including:
- Tracking new hire participation and assignments
- Collect new hire data and information for Directors
- Create/update agendas and training calendars
- Maintain and update our Training and Education Confluence site
- Establishing all MS Teams channels/invites
- Serving as a point of contact for new hires and answering onboarding questions
- Assist with all week one and final week planning tasks
- Oversee the reconciliation process of Ongoing Education content in the LMS and the Ongoing Education Confluence site.
- Create and maintain all Ongoing Education invites and the registration process.
- Assist with planning and execution of Team Day for ERP Implementation and CS team members.
- Identify opportunities to improve Implementation operational efficiencies.
- Will assist the Vice President of Implementation with various reconciliation/administrative tasks, which will require 3-5 hours per week commitment. Additional administrative tasks could be assigned.
- Conduct other duties as assigned
- 2-4 years' experience with course design and development
- Knowledge of Cornerstone system preferred
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Camtasia, SharePoint, Teams, Confluence desired
- An aptitude for understanding and learning the workflow methodology, operational processes, and content development
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and within established guidelines
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Proven ability to successfully lead and manage project
