Loan Operations Senior Consultant

Summary

The successful candidate will be a Commercial Loan Expert, with primary responsibilities for the Pledge Collateral programs supported within Loan Operations. This includes reviewing commercial loan documents in order to qualify loans for pledged collateral programs, completing analysis and audits, and reporting data that will be used for Bank regulators.

The Senior Consultant role will provide support within the division on data analysis and quality reviews for all loan types including Commercial, Custom Loans and Letters of Credit. Additionally, this candidate will be the point person on monthly meetings with our Internal Business Partners and with our Data Integrity/Quality/Custodian partners.

Major Duties

  • Review Loan agreements to qualify loans for Pledged Loan Programs.
  • Produce quality assessment reports and perform data analysis all in support of Pledged Loan programs.
  • Perform Quality Control/Audits to ensure adherence to key controls and regulations.
  • As a Commercial Loan expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
  • Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs large and complex projects.
  • Responsible for direct interaction with multiple stake holder from senior management to Northern Trust clients.
  • Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas.
  • Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of loan operational activities.

Qualifications

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.

    Must be a commercial loan expert.
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership is required.
  • Ability to distill complex data into simple and digestible information for all stakeholders.
  • Exhibited experience with planning and implantation of large projects.
  • Experience with ACBS, Libor, and SOFR is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of an organization
