The Localization Project Coordinator is the team member responsible for implementing and executing our localization strategy. They support the team by coordinating translation projects from beginning to end, ensuring that the budget is respected and quality is maintained.
Basic Duties:
  • Coordinate translation projects from the preparation of assets to the launch of the product.
  • Coordinate Jira projects and tasks for multiple locales/languages and for a variety of deliverables across each process step. Audit final deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate regularly with the Localization Manager to ensure visibility of workload and planning.
  • Assist the Localization Manager in maintaining process documentation and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure localization readiness and that localization requirements are clear (e.g., that instructions are clear to vendors and internal teams).
  • Act as a point of contact for the linguistic team as it pertains to project specifics, deadlines, capacity, etc.
  • Oversee LQA bug management, coordination, and reporting with internal teams (e.g., reassigning to the correct Product Manager and/or Engineer Manager and routing unassigned bugs).
  • Adhere to the translation budget.
  • Support the Localization Manager with various administrative tasks as they arise.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics, business, or equivalent
  • Bilingual (zh-CN or fr-CA a plus)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in localization project management
  • Solid, in-depth knowledge of internationalization, localization, and trans-creation
  • Experience with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, Memsource, etc.
  • A strong focus on quality and the ability to do precise, accurate work under pressure
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and respond to changes in work priorities and/or project schedules in a flexible and responsive manner
  • Ability to identify requirements, prioritize critical deliverables, and clearly articulate status updates and needs to different audiences by filtering relevant information
  • A strong team player in a multicultural environment
  • A passion for languages and equity work

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in working with educational materials
  • Understanding of basic US math vocabulary
  • Master's in Localization Management a plus

*This is a part-time, Contract position with 29 hours or less per week.

Compensation: The hourly rate range for this role is $35 - $37
