Localization Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, highly-experienced Localization Project Manager to join our team. As part of the Digital Content Management team, you will work closely with other Localization Project and Program Managers on aligning processes and standard methodologies; delivering high quality translation and localization of product data, marketing content, and application content on various platforms. You will partner with teams across Us and global regions to ensure timely delivery of localized content for Campaigns, Engineering Releases, Programs and New Product Introductions. This is a 12 month employment with full benefits. Candidates should be located close to our Austin office and able to work onsite 3 days a week
What You'll Do:
- Work with key DCM teams on localization of content for the eCommerce experience on web and mobile platforms
- Manage localization projects from beginning to end, using an in-house translation management software and translation memory tools.
- Work with both internal and external language specialist teams.
- Act as point of contact for urgent localization requests coming out of the regional teams; and demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, priorities and vendors concurrently.
- Manage Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) projects during engineering release cycles, campaigns, programs and new product introductions.
- Work effectively with others in a constantly evolving environment and under time-constrained launch schedules; and effectively lead difficult decisions and conflicting points of view.
- Identify and communicate innovative ideas to improve processes and performance.
- Have a working understanding of web technology tools such as XML, HTML, Photoshop, and varying digital asset types.
- Fluency in English required — Native fluency in one or more of the languages supported on the Apple Online Store preferred but not required.
Who You Are:
You are a detail oriented self starter who doesn’t shy away from constantly-changing challenges and, at a minimum, possesses these skills:
- 3+ years experience as Localization Project Manager, with 1+ years vendor management experience preferred.
- An understanding of localization practices and a dedication for evangelizing these practices.Â
- Excellent analytical, planning, execution and follow-up skills; and will coordinate with other Localization Project and Program Managers to create consistent processes and practices.
- Have a working understanding of web technology tools such as XML, HTML, Photoshop, and varying digital asset types.
- Experience working with International teamsÂ
- A passion for top of class customer experiences
- BA/BS in Localization, Linguistics, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
- Previous website and/or e-commerce localization experience preferred.
- Project Management qualification/certification a plus.
- Located in close proximity to Austin,TX and able to work onsite 3 days a week
