Brief Job Description

Keystone Consulting Group is seeking a Lock Desk Analyst. The Lock Desk Analyst is responsible for all activities regarding the operation of the lock desk including, but not limited to, locking of loans, extending or re-locking loans as requested by brokers, pricing program scenarios, resolving compliance issues on QM & broker compensation, entering and updating trades in Encompass LOS, and other duties assigned by the Director of Secondary.

• Must have worked with Optimal Blue and Encompass
• ⁠Must know how to make changes in Optimal Blue
• ⁠Manage daily emails to the lock desk
• ⁠Lock files BE and Hedged
• ⁠Must know how to register and lock with different investors for BE files
• ⁠Must know how to calculate spread from the day of the lock on Hedged and BE files
• ⁠Monitor lock expirations on BE files every day
• ⁠Analyze bids on bid tape on Hedged files before committing to an investor
• ⁠Make changes in the file after the file is committed.
  

Responsibilities:

• Generate and distribute rate sheets for both wholesale and correspondent divisions
• Review and process all rate lock requests through lock desk email and phone including original rate locks, floats, re-locks, extensions and cancellations. Includes validating the broker lock request to ensure accurate pricing. Communicate confirmations in a timely manner
• Commit and register loans with investors. Monitor outstanding commitments and expiration dates.
• Monitor loan criteria changes and determine if adjustments in the lock are required
• Work with Disclosure team on Compliance issues such as QM Points and Fees, HPML, and broker compensation
• Re-confirm locks from previous day to ensure accurate pricing
• Enforce secondary market lock policies
• Assist in all duties assigned by Director of Secondary

Requirements

• College degree preferred
• 7+ years of mortgage experience preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate work
• Strong mathematics and analytical skills
• Proficiency in loan origination systems and ability to understand and utilize other proprietary mortgage related software platforms
• Ability to interpret mortgage loan rate sheets, add-ons, product guidelines
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary in a high paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
