Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Lead is responsible for ensuring effective management of the customer's supply chain information using the internal Transportation Management System. This role is typically assigned to a region, mode, business unit or small account to assist in the delegation of operational tasks. This person is accountable for achieving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility as well as within their team. The incumbent in this role will champion and use the enterprise project-based delivery model to identify, manage, and drive projects to conclusion within their team.

- Ensure all arrangements are made for the execution of shipments through designated area of responsibility
- Mentor and support lower-level logistics peers by sharing expertise and best practices
- Create and document standard operating processes
- Manage complex exceptions and drive problem solving to prevent the reoccurrence of problems and improve processes
- Assist in the facilitation of cross training within assigned team
- Responsible for meeting operational targets within a particular region, mode, business unit, or small account
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, carriers, and vendors by leading calls, meetings, and internal systems trainings and addressing concerns
- Utilize analytical practices to identify and solve problems
- Build and present intermediate to complex business cases related to how customers can achieve ROI
- Collaborate with internal service teams to execute strategies that align with customer objectives and CHR's business goals
- Apply the enterprise project-based delivery model in day-to-day work
- Lead small sized operations-focused continuous improvement projects utilizing the enterprise project-based delivery model
- Conduct CHR systems training for external customer representatives to ensure effective utilization of CHR's services
- Lead team efforts in reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or Logistics
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systems
- Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requested
- Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and/or international)
- Site Specific: Fluent in English and the primary language of the applicable region
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Demonstrated high level of proactivity and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Prior experience creating and delivering presentations to senior level management
- Ability to gather, translate, and act upon voice of customer
- Ability to direct activities of small work group
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert
- Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, data analysis, and efficient, accurate problem-solving
- Ability to proactively identify patterns in operations and data
- Ability to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environment
- Ability to utilize project management skills to successfully complete various sized projects
- Composure and poise in a customer-centric environment
- Highly adaptable to ambiguous and changing environments
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with prior experience in identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements
- Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
