Job Description
Job Purpose:
Support supply chain performance improvement through effective data collection (correct coding), analysis and reporting to make best decisions for our company.
Key Accountabilities:
- Monitor and collect operational data as it relates to procurement and logistics.
- Develop/Utilize existing Operational Planning Models, Value Stream Maps etc. to identify opportunities to improve freight cost.
- Work with logistics providers, freight forwarders and internal teams to monitor freight spend, approve invoices, review metrics, optimize distribution costs and monitor trade compliance
- Support sourcing & procurement teams with spend data analysis in freight
- Support logistics process improvement and standardization across plants and business units
- Audit the coding freight bills from our Third-Party freight provider and direct freight/parcel vendors
- Assist/support logistics and trade compliance department in daily activities
- Support on any billing questions that accounting might have prior payment
- Assist in searching for carriers to cover loads in problem areas
- Ensure loads are booked (via TMS) and delivered on time.
- Bachelor’s degree in management
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of supply chain management - Planning, Procurement, S&OP, Logistics, import/export regulations, FTAs, etc.
- Oil & gas industry knowledge/experience is a plus
Required Knowledge / Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of experience manipulating large datasets and using databases required
- Excellent Analytical and Quantitative Skills
- Proven ability to manipulate and manage complex data sets in Microsoft Excel; “fluent” in spreadsheet management
- Proven ability to construct and manage Excel‐based cost models, and conduct scenarios/sensitivity analytics
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to summarize and translate data, analytics, and modelling exercises into business discussions/decisions
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; strong listening skills; naturally inclusive in decision‐making environments
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with internal stakeholders and external audiences, e.g., suppliers
- Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency ERP System (JDE Preferred), BI reporting tools
