The Logistics Analyst allocate product and quantity properly according to guidelines and create deliveries. They develop and implement US Stocking policies for the Field Operations Network.
What will you be doing?
- Elaborate Coverage Policy using criteria like ABC classification, Supply risks and lead-times.
- Propose rebalance of inventory among Districts, Regions, and National Operations facilities and also possible excess inventory returns to Manufacturing plants.
- Supervise Excess and Obsolescence and take corrective and preventive actions to avoid impact in company results.
- Improve communication to internal areas to provide BO and revenue risks.
- Actively collaborate in the S&OP and S&OE cycle, providing a supply plan, inventory projections and possible supply mitigation plans.
- Plan the Distribution Requirement Plan for America
- Build list of critical items and follow up accurately with Manufacturing in order to avoid risks to Service. Communicate and raise when needed.
- Collaborate with Demand, Marketing teams, and implement the phase in/phase out of products launches.
- Develop and maintain positive, effective relationships with vendors to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivery of product.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Administration, Economics) OR
- 2 – 5 years of related experience in planning (materials, production, demand, or distribution)
- APICS CPIM Certification.
- Green Belt Certification.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory analysis (DOH, Coverage, E&O, Scrap, ABC classification, Safety Stocks, Replenishment Methods, lead times, planning parameters).
- Experience using MRP/ERP/APS systems.
- Experience in diagnostics or medical devices planning/manufacturing.
- Knowledge in Power BI / Tableau / Alteryx.
- Experience with Lean and Six-sigma.
- Experience with Protheus ERP.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $86250 - $115,000 USD annually.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew.
Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
