Job Description

Position Summary: This position plays a strategic role in maintaining the organization’s inbound supply chain and is essential to customer service execution.

Essential Functions:

• Prospecting for carriers, qualification, contracting and dispatching of shipments.
• Transportation analysis across all modes-Air, ocean, rail, and truck, parcel HTS (harmonized tariff systems).
• Updates export codes for international orders commercial invoices and reporting.
• Creates and maintains Bills of Ladings, commercial invoices and other compliant export documents.
• Uses various reporting tools to analyze cost, make recommendations and ensure on time delivery.
• Maintain electronic document filing system for all transportation and trade compliance transactions.
• Contribute and be responsible to the Quality and Enviromental awareness throughout the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 4 year Business Degree or related field
• 5+ years experience in Logistics Operations

Required Competencies:

• ERP and SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with trade compliance and transportation management software applications is preferred
• Formal training in Global Trade Compliance strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Self-motived, ability to lead/ contribute in cross-functional teams by providing functional support/ guidance.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, professionalism in accepting changing priorities/deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and resiliency when facing change, negative situations, and ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to partner with other functions and foster teamwork.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Commitment to representing the company in a professional manner and upholding company values.

Strong customer service focus with internal and external customers.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $69,700.00 to 90,000.00 based on a full-time schedule.
