About the Role:
As aย Logistics Assistant at Selkirk Sport, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and inventory management processes. You will be responsible for creating and managing the Kanban Master list, handling Kanban order management, processing general purchasing requests, and coordinating with vendor partners. Additionally, you will oversee key product organization and serve as the point of contact for Vinyl Fire-related tasks, including managing POs and vendor relations. This position also involves maintaining Zendesk tickets and offers opportunities for future growth in supply chain management and process development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kanban Master List Creation & Management:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive master list of all untracked inventoried purchase items.
- Assist in creating a digitized workshop app by managing the Kanban Inventory Master List dataset.
- Kanban Order Management:
- Generate multiple purchase orders (POs) for purchase requests and production supplies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of Kanban orders.
- General Purchasing Requests:
- Handle purchasing requests through Purchase Request chat and in-person requests.
- Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill purchasing needs efficiently.
- Vendor Communication:
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor partners to process drop-shipment orders.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with vendors to meet order requirements.
- Product Organization & Inventory Management:
- Organize and manage key product parts, such as pickleball net parts and French/English retail packaging labels.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels meet operational demands.
- Vinyl Fire Point of Contact:
- Act as the point of contact for Vinyl Fire, managing POs and vendor relations for stickers, grip tape, and vinyl products.
- Zendesk Ticket Cleanup & Maintenance:
- Regularly review, clean up, and maintain Zendesk tickets to ensure the system remains organized and efficient.
Possible Future Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry and updates for important supply chain POs.
- Serve as the โfaceโ of the supply chain, handling in-person shipping/receiving tasks as needed.
- Participate in ideation sessions with project managers to improve supply chain processes.
- Develop documentation for the supply chain position using Trainual.
Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using software like Zendesk, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to tasks.
Selkirk requires a 3-month probationary period before being considered for direct employment.

Starting wage:ย $23+ per hour depending on experience
