Gulf Copper Energy Services is currently seeking a logistics coordinator/cable connector for our Galveston office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Acquiring POs from Purchasing
  2. Occasionally opening job #’s if Supervision Needs Assistance
  3. Maintain Job files and quotes for Job files.
  4. Maintain a healthy and active communication with production, & shipping/receiving.
  5.  Input information provided by Manager’s and Superintendents on bidding program.
  6.  Heavy logistical support (Pricing Equipment etc.)
  7. Attend weekly meetings.
  8. Work closely with accounting regarding equipment billing/discrepancies/etc.
  9. Maintain a close relationship with Purchasing.
  10. Organize equipment staging and setup for mobilization and demobilization of on and offsite projects.
  11. Complete and document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste.
  12. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results.
  13. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurements tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  14. Assist in Time Keeping
  15. Assist in Bill Presentation to Clients
  16. Assist in Day-to-Day Operations as Needed
  17. Responsible for Cable Connector administration duties including customer communications, electronic entries, and records.
  18. Responsible for Cable Connector Kit procurement, assembly, and shipping.

Required Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, or Logistics, or five (5) plus years experience within purchasing field preferred.

Working Conditions:

  1. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and / or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
  2. Lifting (50lbs) involved.

Necessary Equipment Operation:

  1. Office equipment, including telephone, fax machine, scanner, computer, printer, ten-key.
  2. General inspection measuring of equipment.
