ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a person who loves being at the center of a dance circle? Do you take requests and give the people what they want while you break it down? Do you love boxes, pallets, racking and the smell of freshly polished concrete? Well we do have an opportunity for you!

We are looking for a new logistics pro to join our merry flock of supply chain-ers to help us manage relationships with our external warehouses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the relationship with our network of external warehouses. Talk with their teams, give them feedback, get feedback from them so we can collab like we have ESP
• Set up and manage KPIs with our logistics partners to measure performance and keep them accountable
• Keep a close eye on our invoices and handle disputes as necessary
• Work closely with leadership to plan the long-term success of our partnerships
• Work as a coordinator with our partners to support whatever crazy ideas Carl thinks up - like picking / packing / shipping of frozen cocktails, shrimp and pre-filled inflatable pools
• Master the ancient and revered art of ribbon dancing
• Identify ways we can work together more efficiently and effectively with our external warehouses
• Share fulfillment forecasts and ensure capacity so that we can ship sunnies like its our business (cus it is)
•  Works to create and maintain SOPs to ensure clear, efficient workflow between goodr and partners
• Support contract and rate negotiations
• Work with our freight flamingos to prioritize and manage inbound receipts

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

• May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
• Loves everything above
• Asks a lot of questions
• 5+ years working directly in account management with a retail distribution center
• Bonus points if you have worked with multiple third party distribution centers
• Willing to spend Tuesdays and Thursdays at our office every week (don’t worry - we have snacks) and can travel occasionally to our 3PL locations (2 to 3 times per year)
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Loves stakeholder management, taking requests and keeping others accountable
• Dependable with the willingness to take the initiative to work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency
• Loves developing best practices. Loves to document everything
• Loves the work more than a paycheck
• Thinks planning and organizing are fun
• Loves to create order out of chaos
• Loves getting and giving feedback
• Is into personal growth
• Thinks Fun is being great (not partying)
• Be proactive and an independent problem solver! (Can you google a question?)
