Logistics Manager II
Job Description
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of studyβ’ Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- In-depth understanding of ITAR regulations as they apply to the import and export of goods
- Relevant experience working with logistics/warehouse environment and warehouse management systems
- Progressive experience with the practical application of Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
- Ability to travel extensively, often overseas
- Prior experience with handling and managing hazardous/dangerous goods and materials
- Previous management experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
Preferred:
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Familiarity with operating military units, airborne SIGINT systems and aircraft sensor equipment
- Understanding of third party shipping vendors and requirements
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
- Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors
- Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes
- Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Occasionally exposed to loud noises
Safety Sensitive Position:
- Resoponsible for the safety or security of people or propoerty
- Inspects, handles, or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials
- Performs aviation related duties
- Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
