Logistics Specialist (Haverhill)

Position Summary: Fusion Worldwide is a global open market distributor of electronic components dedicated to helping our customers overcome their biggest supply chain challenges. As we continue to grow globally, we are looking to add a Logistics Specialist to our warehouse/quality hub team in Haverhill, MA. This individual will report to the Compliance Manager to manage the movement and tracking of goods to customers and between warehouses. This role will include tracking progress, ensuring product is delivered on time and to the correct location. It will also entail handling issues/delays and coordinating with carriers/customer logistics.

What you can do for us

• Control all tracking of outbound and inbound shipments
• Coordinate with commodity management, sales, purchasing, order management and quality internally as well as with carriers
• Handle issues and delays with shipments by providing necessary paperwork, coordinating with carriers and customers, managing issues and reporting updates
• Create claim paperwork for lost and damaged shipments, follow up with all damage and freight claims, keep a log of all global claims
• Handle freight movements of parts and assist in determining the most efficient and cost-effective method to move goods between Fusion warehouses and test houses/customers
• Assist the traffic manager in the collection of data, shipment review/processing and research on rates and movements
• Interface and coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance of goods into the US
• Improve the visibility into traffic movements and the overall flow of traffic by looking for ways to prevent delays and issues

Who we’re looking for

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and detail-oriented approach
• Ability to coordinate with multiple parties in-person, via phone and email including sales, purchasing, logistics, carriers, custom brokers
• Knowledge of global shipping and freight operations required
• 2-4 years of experience of import/export or shipping coordination preferred
