Logistics Specialist II

As a Logistics Specialist II, you prepare our logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll coordinate shipping activities which adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.

Must-haves:• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience• Relevant work experience may substitute for required education• A higher level degree may substitute for experience• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills• Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques• Experience with inventory databases
Preferred:• Inventory control experience• Receiving and shipping experience• Experience kitting material for manufacturing and completing necessary transactions.• Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx and UPS.• HazMat Training/Certification• Understanding of Shelf Life• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military• The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required. Primary Responsibilities
Candidate will be working in the shipping and receiving area. Completing daily receiving, shipping and inventory movement transactions. Working with manufacturing and planning to accurately complete kits needed in assembly. Maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the plant and warehouse locations. Assisting with daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must for this position.

Hourly Rate: $24.39 - $33.54
