Job Description
Commercial Low Voltage Project Manager
Estimate, manage and coordinate all essential Project Management functions of a low voltage commercial construction project with multiple building. This includes coordination of OFFICE and FIELD activities from Take-offs to Managing test results and completing As-builts of the project. Manage materials and systems to support the superintendent and team that completes the daily details of their specific project.
β’ Always represent DataPLUS (DPC) professionally and positively with clients, property owners, trades, vendors, and superintendents.
β’ Be one of the main point of contacts and liaison between the General Contractor Technology consultant, and Superintendent.
β’ Provide accurate and effective pre-construction services for both the General Contractor and Owner as follows:
β’ Provide accurate take-offs with pertinent site information.
β’ Work with Electrical Contractor and consultants to clearly understand scope of project and how it affects initial designs and site impact.
β’ Study and clearly understand the contract documents and site conditions of each building that DPC is working on.
β’ Clarify any ambiguities with Technology consultant and Owner prior to submitting a material list and specifications for ordering.
β’ Estimate assigned projects using supplied drawing sets and team experience.
β’ Work with Distribution and manufacturer Reps through the bid negotiation process and contracting the project.
β’ Create and send out submittals to Client and coordinate the order of equipment/materials as necessary.
β’ Assist your Team with the coordination of all Ownerβs vendors and be sure that they are on schedule.
β’ Review the project with the Superintendent so he/she is aware of all job specifics, schedule, plans and expectations.
β’ Attend GC and OAC meetings as required.
β’ Maintain Daily and Weekly Updates including Submittal Log, RFI Log, Change Order Log, etc.
β’ Monitor and ensure that Superintendent is maintaining an accurate set of as-built documents.
β’ Make site visits to ensure construction accuracy and quality control.
β’ Close out project per Clientβs needs. Include all required documents for a complete close out including Test results and As-builts.
Fluke Versiv experience is a plus
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, be licensed driver, be fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English language
