Low Voltage Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you will support the project management team in our Bay Area offices. This role will monitor and assign projects to Project Managers based on existing workloads and skill set and monitor to ensure Project Managers are billing as appropriate, assist in problem resolution and generally ensure the local offices' operations run smoothly, customers are happy and projects are completed on schedule.
What you’ll do
- Daily support of Project Managers, technicians, and office staff of the local offices.
- Ensure technicians are assigned to Project Managers appropriately to ensure efficiency.
- Assist with job related problems and ensure customers' schedules are being kept by staff.
- Assist with Purchasing related problems and ensure customer billings are keeping pace with job related costs.
- Hire, counsel, and/or terminate project managers or technicians.
- Approve or decline time and expenses of subordinates.
- Assist in working through business processes for a good workflow.
- Conduct a weekly review back log of work with each Project Manager.
- Occasionally walk a project with a salesperson and/or review a quote with the sales staff to ensure all items are included along with the appropriate amount of time to complete.

What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of project management/technical experience, including working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
- Experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership
- A drive for results and accountability to business needs
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective
