Bring your M&A experience and creativity to Equifax and lead diligence cycles for Product, Data & Analytics and Technology (PDAT). Your vision, drive, discipline, collaboration, and communication skills will result in integration strategies, executable milestone-level plans, budgets, and readouts to the C-suite which will enable execution teams to succeed in value creation during post-Close integration. Learn from integration executives to improve your process on the front-end resulting in greater value creation on the back-end: create a virtuous cycle as part of our on-going programmatic approach to serial M&A (15 deals since Jan 2021).

What you'll do

  • Simultaneously lead one or more diligence cycles including questions inventory development and curation, seller conference call preparation and leadership, documentation of learning.
  • Develop integration options and strategies, including Product, Data and Technology architectures by working with technology strategists and architects. Coordinate activities closely with Security team colleagues.
  • Create milestone-level integration plans by adopting boilerplate requirements and adapting them to current deals with input from integration team colleagues.
  • Collaboratively develop and deliver diligence readout materials to bring deals through the internal approval process with sponsors vertically and horizontally in the organization.
  • Coordinate activity across internal teams, including Product, Data & Analytics, and Technology as well as across disciplines including, for example, Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate and more.
  • Identify Product, Data & Analytics, and Technology initiatives and solutions to improve the quality and speed of diligence cycles. Define measurable quality in diligence and work with analytics colleagues to ensure reportability over time to help ensure material enhancements to the programmatic approach to M&A at Equifax. Manage multiple improvement threads simultaneously.
  • Apply end-to-end deal vision while working closely with analytics, finance, and integration colleagues to support continuous refinement of integration modeling approaches to enhance diligence output quality and usability.
  • Define, document, and communicate material deal risks and integration risks as well as mitigation strategies. Develop methods for assessing materiality and likelihood such that risks can be assessed in context of their potential impact.
  • Develop and implement solutions to have the greatest impact on revenue and cost synergies.
  • Define diligence program controls and governance - processes, procedures, reporting and policies - to manage the overall program.
  • Collaborate with and coach resources, stakeholders and deliverables aligned across multiple deals and across multiple tracks within deals to drive change without direct authority to do so.
  • Ensure diligence program deliverables align to the program's desired outcomes/OKRs and support business initiatives and strategies.
  • Identify industry best practices and recommend program updates or changes as needed to ensure program success.
  • Closely collaborate with M&A Analytics colleagues to build out data-based learning and sources of improvement.

What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of M&A experience (preferably in TMT) with in-depth knowledge and experience with a focus on the technology, data and product diligence cycle management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional and/or consulting experience operating in a Project and/or Program Management level position (preferably leading Technology and/or M&A initiatives).
  • Must have experience guiding technology architecture assessments and integration strategies.
  • Must be highly skilled at and able to apply a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems; able to make decisions within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities.
  • Ability to build relationships, trust, and influence with a range of stakeholders in matrixed organization.
  • Experience creating work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity.

  • Proven track record in most if not all of the above aspects working for a leading M&A advisory practice showing ability to execute responsibility and accountability without authority.
  • History of primary ownership of above content within or on behalf of client executives in or for a large, multi-national, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in leading technology big data or fintech data businesses.
  • Ability to share and speak to actual results of past work including specific work product examples.
  • Professional experience that will enable you to bring new methods to Equifax, to make net-new contributions to how our always-developing programmatic approach to M&A operates.
  • Experience providing guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise.
