Machine Builder/Machinist

Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for supporting engineering projects through various technical tasks, including building, assembling, and fabricating components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, to assist in the design and development of engineering solutions. Responsibilities Assist engineers in product development, testing, and manufacturing ramp-up • Build prototypes, test fixtures, and concept samples to validate and refine designs • Conduct experiments under engineering supervision • Analyze and improve processes to optimize performance and efficiency • Operate standard machine tools (lathes, mills, drills, etc.) and test equipment Qualifications • 2+ years of experience as a technician or apprentice in engineering/manufacturing • Strong hands-on approach with a focus on prototyping and sample development • Working knowledge of machine shop tools and equipment • Excellent time management, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills • Experience interpreting and working from engineering drawings • Familiarity with rolling shutters, door/window systems, or similar products is a plus • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Tech, or equivalent preferred Technical Skills • Proficient in CAD/CAE software • Skilled with mechanical testing and measurement systems • Comfortable using MS Office and related tools What We Offer • Competitive base salary + performance bonus • Company-wide profit sharing • Fully paid employee health & basic life insurance • 401(k) with 100% match up to 10% (after 1 year) • Paid vacation and personal time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
