About your role

As a Machine Learning Developer Evangelist at Voxel51, you’ll work directly with our community, working to establish Voxel51 as the center of mass for computer vision on the internet. You’ll connect directly with our thriving open source community across channels, help bring the community together through events and Meetups, and generate technical content to educate and push the space forward.

You’ll also contribute directly to a fast-growing open source ML product, and continue to build out our functionality and ecosystem.

Every member of our fully-remote team is empowered to own their work and play an active role in advancing our mission to democratize data-centric ML.

What you will do

• 80% of your time
• Connecting directly with the FiftyOne open source community
• Over channels like our community Slack, responding to Github issues, answering StackOverflow questions, etc.
• Help organize Meetups and other events for FiftyOne users and the wider computer vision world
• Generate original technical content like blogs, screencasts, talks, and more
• 20% of your time
• Contribute ML-specific features to our product, FiftyOne
  

What you should bring

• Professional ML experience (1 year+)
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field
• Nice to have: Machine learning education 
• Proficiency with Python
• Expertise with machine learning and scientific computing libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy)
• Demonstrated interest in computer vision
• Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects (or the passion to start!)
• Experience creating ML content (even if just for yourself)
• Ability to work in a remote-first, cooperative environment using collaborative development tools (GitHub, Slack)
