Title: Engineer II, Machine Learning - MLops
Location: Treehouse
The base salary offered will range between $54,000 - $128,400 and will depend on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, other business and organizational needs, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered such as bonuses, equity, etc.
Role Description
Oak Street Health is looking for a machine learning engineer to support our extensive production modeling efforts. You will design, develop, test and expand Oak Streets Health's internal tools that enable our Data Science teams to seamlessly build, deploy and monitor models. You will leverage both your programming and problem-solving skills to improve our model building and hosting pipelines. Oak Street Health has built a world-class risk stratification tool to empower optimal clinical outcomes and you will have the opportunity to contribute to its continued growth through writing production-quality code.
Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and execution of the technical design, development, and implementation of data engineering and machine learning pipelines
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Business partners to design and deploy MLOps strategies that are effective and efficient at enabling data science solutions.
• Support full lifecycle MLOps from external data integration, model scaling, CI/CD practices, to prediction quality assurance
• Maintain existing features of the data science tech stack individually and collaboratively through refactoring and production code review, respectively
• Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• 4+ years working with data field especially clinical or medical data
• Strong background in the foundations of machine learning and model serving
• Experience writing software for a distributed, cloud-based environment in a CI/CD pipeline
• Excellent command and productional experience with Python
• Experience with SQL/non-SQL databases
• An ability to independently pursue and implement solutions to complex problems
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills in architecting solutions and driving the adoption of those solutions across a technical team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to delivery complex topics to all familiarity levels
• Familiarity with healthcare clinical and billing data is a plus
• US work authorization
