We’re looking for a Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer, specializing in large-scale training infrastructure to join our Augmented Reality team!

What you’ll do:

  • Build infrastructure and tooling to support the training of cutting edge ML models

  • Create pipelines for ingestion of massive amounts of data and distributed training 

  • Build reusable infrastructure for testing, validation distillation and quantization of models

  • Support internal product and research efforts related to our AR/ML platform roadmap

  • Combine strong software engineering principles with machine learning to build scalable, reproducible and easy-to-use end-to-end machine learning workflows for advanced deep learning and computer vision problems 

  • Advocate for and apply best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent software design, development and debugging skills 

  • Proven track record of developing highly available systems which deal with large amounts of data

  • Ability to hit the ground running and learn new skills and concepts quickly

  • Ability to collaborate well with teammates and customers from different domains

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience with Python, C++ or equivalent combined with a proven track record of learning on the job

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some familiarity with Machine Learning and Machine Learning infrastructure.

  • Experience building large scale production machine learning systems or data pipelines

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Google/AWS services

  • Familiarity with Metaflow, Airflow, Kubeflow or similar workflow orchestration framework

  • Experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch, or related deep learning frameworks

  • Experienced in MLOps: managing production machine learning lifecycle

For CA based applicants: 

  • The base salary for this position is $195,000 - $280,000

For NY based applicants: 

  • The base salary for this position is $205,000 - $295,000

This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
