Machine Learning Researcher

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Machine Learning Researcher to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Researching and implementing machine learning models using modern techniques to be integrated into the team’s systems
• Analyzing data sets to reveal the underlying statistical structure and useful patterns therein
• Crafting novel non textbook machine learning models and pipelines, with a focus on neural networks
• Collaborating with other team members to handle relevant practical business and technological concerns and to integrate models into production systems 

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in CS, Math, or a related field
• Working knowledge of modern machine learning through study in courses, books, personal projects, or work experience
• Experience using ML packages (e.g. Pytorch), distributed computing, Cuda, Git/Linux/Code review
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or C++
• Passionate about applying modern machine learning methods to financial problems
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to be a creative problem solver with attention-to-detail

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $150,000-200,000, plus eligible for performance-based bonus
