From day one, your subject matter expertise in vibration analysis will add immediate value. We are currently seeking a Machine Learning Support Analyst to join our Analytics Team. The Machine Learning Support Analyst serves as a crucial interface between our Technical Operations and Analytics teams, focusing on training operations on analytics best practices and identifying model improvements in collaboration with our Data Scientists and Data Analytics Engineers. Additionally, you will have opportunities to develop analytics and programming skills as a part of this role.

Essential Functions:   

• Play a key role in helping our customers and internal Reliability/Vibration Analysts leverage machine learning solutions effectively;
• Empower KCF’s Reliability/Vibration Analysts as an interpreter for our machine learning technology, guiding on best practices to gain the most from our models
• Leverage industry expertise to guide our Analytics Team and identify new opportunities to explore for model enhancements;
• Drive timely and accurate model insights through thorough analysis of data and identify best practices labeling data aiding in improved machine learning;
• Work with Reliability/Vibration Analysts to define and maintain consistent standards for data labeling on their manually generated insights;
• Analyze data being generated for machine learning model training to ensure that labels are consistent and accurate;
• Collaborate with the other members of KCF’s Analytics team to identify patterns in model performance and avenues for improvement;
• Create and maintain accurate documentation that communicate best practices for labeling data, ML model capabilities, and patterns of performance;
• Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures relating to the usage of analytics models;
• Conduct training sessions on data labeling practices and ML model capabilities for Reliability/Vibration Analyst Team;
• Propose software improvements to aid in faster labeling workflows and enhance the overall user experience of our Analytics models, increasing KCF’s ability to deliver best-in-class machine learning functionality for our customers.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and other KCF leadership staff  

Qualifications:  

• GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience preferred 
• 3 years of reliability experience, including a combination of: 
• Industrial Maintenance 
• Millwright  
• Equipment repairs  
• Reliability Engineering  
• Vibration Analysis  
• CAT II vibration certification or higher in combination
• Effective knowledge of machinery fundamentals
• Effective knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals
• Experience generating and accurately documenting customer value through predictive maintenance and root cause problem solving 
• Superior communication skills; written, face to face, and over the phone
• Effective at using Microsoft suite of products
• Experience presenting technical content
• Data-oriented mindset: can organize data to support a plan of action
• Prior experience with programming or machine learning is a plus.
