Description
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
- Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
- Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation, accurately reading measurement instruments.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
- Assists machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Rivets and spot welds work pieces.
- Endeavors to create a work environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years machine operation experience.
- Sheet metal experience preferred.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Must be able to work Mon-Thurs. 6:00am - 4:30pm and overtime, as needed.
