Machine Operator

Position Overview Position is primarily responsible for the daily set-up and operation of CNC lasers, punch presses, press brakes, roller benders, glass cutting & finishing machines, etc. Ensure consistent high - quality operation of equipment as prescribed by the company, and compliance with manufacturing and standard operating procedures. Essential Job Functions · Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations. · Ensure daily & weekly operator preventative maintenance is completed on machine. · Establish, maintain and manage standard operating procedures, ensuring machine is being utilized according to safety, quality and production requirements. · Recommends procedure improvements to managers. · Train others as backfill, ensuring same level of quality operation · Perform quality inspections while maintaining the production process so that output is achieved, ensuring sufficient parts are produced to fulfill work requirements. · Expedite priority work orders as required in cooperation with the Production Supervisor. · Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. Physical Demands 1. Ability to lift, pull or push up to 50 lbs.; anything over 50 lbs. is to be assisted. 2. Be on your feet 8-10 hours per day. Preferred Education and Experience · Prior, relevant experience operating machines · Mechanical experience and aptitude · Operator maintenance experience · CNC experience · Detail and task oriented – able to trouble shoot and follow through with preventative maintenance tasks on a consistent basis. · Punctual. · Ability to work well with others with minimal supervision. · Computer literate. · Excellent organizational skills. · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. · Have a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive attitude. · Mathematical aptitude. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Strong orientation toward safety, quality and continuous improvement.
