Machine Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but are not limited to: · Follows all the company policies set in our Employee Handbook. · Follow all safety instructions and performs job function in adherence to safety instructions and rules. · Does not perform any job, duty, or function for which the employee has not been trained. · Preferred functional literacy and oral communication skills in English/Spanish for safety and following job specific instructions · Has the ability to function under highly stressful conditions and interact cordially with co-workers to accomplish common tasks. · Checks planning schedules to insure manufacturing goals are met. · Inspects equipment and tools to be used during the production to ensure the equipment is clean and sanitary. · Operatesall of the following machines/equipmentwithin the savory area: Packline, Autoprod, World Cup, Cryovac, We pack it, Food Slicer, Ribbon Blender and Automatic Can Opener and any other equipment used for the setup, production and packaging of our products. · Assembles equipment and ensures accuracy according to packaging specifications. · Operates assigned machinery to produce or package products per specifications, ensuring packaging specifications and weights. · Confirms accuracy of weight sheets and label documentation and that paperwork is completed without error. · Assures the WIP products and packaging materials are stored according to Food Safety Standards and HACCP programs. · Notifies management of problems with ingredients, raw materials, changes, variations and specifications · Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks within the team. · Assist Line Lead in training other employees on how to use equipment following our safety policies and practices. · Performs area housekeeping as required. · Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as directed. · Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time · Performs basic maintenance of equipment.
