At Senneca, we value innovation, dedication, and a drive for excellence, and we are looking for individuals who share these values.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery to ensure it functions efficiently and produces high-quality products. • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including trouble-shooting minor issues and ensuring machinery is in optimal working condition. • Assist in the setup of machines for different production tasks, including adjusting settings and calibrating equipment. • Inspect products for defects and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. • Work closely with maintenance technicians to identify and resolve any mechanical or electrical issues with the machinery. • Ensure the workplace is clean, safe, and organized at all times, adhering to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. • Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, maintenance activities, and material usage. • Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and improve manufacturing processes.Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience operating machinery in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments on machinery. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.Desired Qualifications: • Technical training or certification in machine operation or a related field. • Experience with metal fabrication and welding is a plus. • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Competencies: • Technical Expertise:Proficient in operating and maintaining machinery, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. • Attention to Detail:Ensures accuracy and precision in all aspects of machine operation. • Safety-Oriented:Committed to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and others. • Team Collaboration:Works well with others to achieve production goals and improve processes. • Communication Skills:Effectively communicates with team members and supervisors to report issues and suggest improvements.Travel Requirements: • Travel is not typically required for this position.Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving repetitive motion. • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment. • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including temperature variations.
