We’re looking for a Support Engineer to focus on the trading platform that supports our Global Macro investing business. You will provide continuous service improvement and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure environment stability.

What you’ll do 

As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide application support services for our Global Macro investing business. The successful candidate will be given training on Orchestrade, a modern, scalable Macro trading platform. Note that experience working with Orchestrade is not required. In this role you will participate in continuous service improvement as you collaborate with business and technical stakeholders. Specifically, you will: 

• Receive training on Orchestrade 
• Be responsible for monitoring production environment and issue resolution 
• Automate support tasks 
• Provide maintenance and support activities on the Orchestrade platform, such as: 

• Investigate and resolve trade flow processing issues, pricing setup and configuration 

• Set up financial instruments and market data curves 

• Work directly with end users (Portfolio Managers, Traders) on any issues that arise and take responsibility for root cause analysis 
• Ensure that issue resolutions happen in a timely fashion and escalate to relevant development teams if needed 
• Update internal knowledge articles (Wiki) on new issues; classify known issues, symptoms, and identify potential fixes 

What’s required 

• 2+ years’ experience as a Production Support Engineer 
• Demonstratable prior programming experience, either commercially or on hobby projects 
• 1+ year SQL experience 
• Good understanding of financial products 

• Experience working with financial platforms like Murex, Calypso or Front Arena 
• Experience supporting a mixture of vendor and in-house applications 
• Strong analytical mindset 
• Responsibility, multitasking, client orientation 
• Strong communication skills 

• Proven ability to learn  
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
