SCHEDULE: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent.

About the Role:

The Intelligence Analyst position provides task-specific investigative support to designated criminal and civil investigations involving US Mail.

Work Duties and Tasks:

Data collection and aggregation

Extract data from Teradata and Oracle environments, and legacy systems to satisfy requests for information from investigators. Prepare reports documenting results and disseminate research results to appropriate contact(s) in a timely manner.

Analysis

Review and analyze data to identify patterns and trends to support investigations.

Reporting Responsibilities

Responsible for documenting and reporting analytical results, creating graphic displays and reports that present clear and concise representations of the information analyzed; and disseminating data as required by the assigned task(s).

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of five years of related experience.
• Experience communicating orally and in writing to clearly explain steps, methodologies, and results regarding research and analysis using multiple mediums such as presentation programs, charts, and reports;
• Open-Source Intelligence gathering experience, conducting research using the internet, commercial/public databases, social media, and other sources;
• Demonstrated ability to analyze investigative results and recommend additional investigative actions;
• Experience analyzing large data sets and interpreting patterns or trends using the appropriate analytical techniques and methods;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities and meet deliverables;
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products and basic SQL understanding, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create and execute macros, create and modify pivot tables, utilize VLOOKUP, if/then formulas, and conditional formatting;
• Experience with mapping platforms such as ArcGIS;
• Experience using analytical tools and visualization software such as Adobe Acrobat Pro and i2 Analyst’s Notebook;
• Proficiency with telephone/toll record analysis using PLX/PenLink, or other commercially available software; and
• Familiarization with document review platforms (Relativity, iConect, Concordance).

• Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
• Favorable credit check for all cleared positions 
• Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.

• Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time.
• Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time.
• Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.
• Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
• Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
