Job Description
Team Lead oversees the mail services activity and assists facilitating workflow, while working closely with the Service Delivery Manager and client(s). The Team Leader is responsible for supporting the activities within the mail departments including training, supporting, and monitors staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Understand all mailroom procedures, leads projects andactivities.
- Maintains schedules for timely delivery and pick up of mailfor the internal operation of the mail room.
- Delegates and direct daily workflows to staff, ensuring work instructions are executed accurately.
- Communicate all departmental andcompany policies and procedures as direct by Management
- Ensure completion of daily responsibilities based on Service Level Agreements.
- To communicatedirectly with clients maintaining a professional image and perception.
- Fulfilling client requests with a sense of urgency providing positive results.
- Assure that inventory audits are performed regularly.
- Complete daily reporting/documentation within the assigned timeframe.
- Train new staff as needed, providing feedback directly to the Manager.
- Monitor employee performance, assisting the manager identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide additional coverage when staff shortages occur to maintain support for the client both on site and client buildings
- All other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Leadership skills.
- Data Entry experience.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Multitasking, organization, and delegation skillsets.
- Team player with the ability to learn and develop their understanding and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to cascade information, and direction staff, and clients.
- Must be able to maintain high production levels daily.
- Adaptability, being able to prioritize changing business needs.
- Ability to work independently with very littlesupervision.
- Mail room experience preferred
- Lift to 30lbs periodically.
