Main Street Credit Risk Analyst

This position is responsible for assisting with the credit risk management of the Main Street Lending Program portfolio. The position reports to the Senior Credit Risk Specialist or Director of Credit Management. The individual will work with other credit risk analysts and vendors assisting with the management of the portfolio, contributing to the assessment of loan level risk ratings and portfolio performance reporting. The role will also analyze recommendations provided by vendors for individual loan credit actions and assist with the development of recommendations to MSLP Credit team regarding approval of such actions. The individual would consider themselves experienced in credit risk management with a demonstrated capacity of working with large commercial loan portfolios.

Responsibilities & Key Output
- Analyze commercial loan credits performing financial analysis on credits as directed.
- Prepare comprehensive written financial analysis on assigned commercial credits providing recommendation and conclusion as to the financial condition of the Borrower.
- Assist with portfolio and individual loan surveillance utilizing information provided by the Credit Administrator and Eligible Lenders.
- Evaluate changes to assigned segments of the portfolio for reporting and escalation procedures; monitor changes in market conditions related to the portfolio, including ratings activity and sector disruptions for reporting.
- Provide written input on individual loan risk ratings, valuations and risk assessments.
- Assist the AVP - Credit Management, Senior Credit Risk Specialist and the Director of Credit Management on distressed debt situations as they may arise.
- Lead individual loan and industry specific discussions while assisting with portfolio reporting to FRBB/SPV management and others as needed.
- Analyze credit requests, such as modifications, and recommend decisions to MSLP Credit Team management for performing loans.
- Assist with the preparation of approval requests for submission to the appropriate committee.
- Identify potential problem loans for escalation to the workout vendor.
- Evaluate notifications of credit events by Eligible Lenders, respond with additional questions as needed, and provide guidance to Eligible Lenders on next steps.
- Review loan-level legal documents and modification requests as well as work closely with the MSLP Legal Team to answer lender and borrower questions.
Present credit-related requests to oversight committees comprised of senior executives and professionals, fielding related questions and comments as needed.
