Mainframe Architect

Introduction
In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Chief Architect and Mainframe expert analyze and assess current environment make strategic recommendations on redesign from a Monoplex to a Sysplex processing environment develop detailed from-to architectural designs build project plans and lead the cross-functional team in implementation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Expert Mainframe Architect delivering strong client support and transformations.
• Proven expertise includes: Hardware configuration SYSPLEX implementation installation of numerous software products senior z/OS programming support and consultation for related projects hardware and software upgrades and migration security and audit compliance to industry standard system level problem determination and resolution and disaster planning and recovery.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience working with Federal Government clients.
