Mainframe Developer

Description

Cognizant is looking for a "Mainframe Developer " for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the "team" and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.

Education Details: BS or Equivalent

Must Have: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2

Job Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Remote)

Roles/Responsibilities: • Design and implementation of effective Analytics solutions and modules in COBOL and CICS. • Perform Mainframe Application Developer (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2) • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features. • Educate team members through training and individual support. • Provide support by responding to system problems in a timely manner. • Understand and resolve issues on data flows in and between different systems/applications. • Provide production job monitoring and SSMO support. • Monitor the ServiceNow and respond / resolve issues reported by business or applications .
