We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Engineer to join the growing Mainframe team in our Chicago-area headquarters.

Mainframe Engineers experience a culture of development through collaborative learning, mentorship and the ability to explore new topics. They interact with all aspects of the mainframe, from supporting CICS and Db2 subsystems, to applying system maintenance, and replacing physical software. Our dynamic business requires agile professionals with a growth mindset to tackle challenges and add value across a variety of initiatives. Mainframe Engineers collaborate to support McMaster-Carr's large-scale computing environment, which includes IBM mainframe and enterprise storage. The hardware and software architecture developed by the Mainframe team is integral to continually improving business functionality and reliability, supporting our inventory offering across five facilities nationwide, and creating enjoyable experiences for more than 350,000 daily customer visits to mcmaster.com.

Qualifications
•At least 2 years of experience with technologies such as z/OS, CICS, DB2, JCL, SMP/E, SMS/ACS, VTAM, Zowe, z/OSMF
•Communication skills to thrive in a highly collaborative environment where Agile and fast-moving practices are the norm
•Curiosity in learning new technologies and ability to contribute to different project teams over the course of career
