Node.Digital is seeking a Mainframe Operations Engineer to join our team. The Mainframe Operations Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mainframe computer systems and related hardware and software. They will perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and perform daily operational tasks related to mainframe systems.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• MUST have a Bachelors degree and 14 years of experience. Experience can be used in lieu of education. 
• MUST exhibit mastery of mainframes (Unisys 2200 and IBM), storage management, and configuration management skills in the context of data center operations
• MUST possess a deep understanding of best practices for complex, enterprise class data center operations
• MUST possess a deep understanding of best practices for planning and implementation of configuration management
• MUST possess knowledge and experience with configuration and operations of large, complex disk and virtual tape storage (Dell EMC VMAX/PowerMax and DLm)
• SHOULD possess client consulting skills with world-wide best practices in a complex and mission critical data center environment
• SHOULD possess knowledge and experience in implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Alternate Site Processing (ASP) procedures and best practices
• SHOULD possess skills for managing a team of top flight IT engineers
