Mainframe QA Lead

Roles and Responsibilities

• COBOL upgrade or ACF2 migration or implemented StoneBranch in the last 4years
• Must have experience supporting mainframe upgrades and migration to new OS Cobol
• Understand of CICS, MQ , JCL, StoneBranch and Scheduling maintenance and upgrades
• Manage QA resources
• Have tested with Rexx, Rumba or some mainframe automation against interfaces
• Expert level knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience in test-driven development including creation of automated scripts as part of a test backlog
• Experience with Agile: JIRA
• Test Management (Test Process, Defect Management & Test Reports)
• Working knowledge in SAFe Agile
• Lead offshore testers and provide guidance on Mainframe Testing and Automation
• Work with partners including the Business, Infrastructure and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support infrastructure needs
• Collaborate with other data team to establish and maintain the accuracy of test data, assist with refreshing test data to correct any deficiencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related work experience.
• 7 years of development and/or test automation experience. Experience in network programming and/or developing/designing large software systems.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Skilled in Mainframe and COBOL migration.
• Extensive experience translating business requirements into effective test cases, test planning, test automation and test execution.
• Technical writing, including test cases, plans & specifications, definition of done, acceptance criteria/thresholds, and test results.
• Building robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing.
• Developing code for quality automation and ensuring extensive unit test coverage of the code.
• Building, customizing, deploying, and managing the environment/test automation frameworks.

- Mainframe

- COBOL and Migration

- CICS, MQ, JCL

- Rexx, Rumba
