Required Experience:

Technical Skills • Excellent understanding of System z architecture • Excellent experience with IBM z/OS operating system • Knowledge on Parallel Sysplex concepts, Catalog management, IBM system utilities • Installation and maintenance of ISV products, REXX, RMF, SMF • System parameters/parmlib maintenance • Managing incidents on storage related issues • Storage performance monitoring and reporting • Hardware knowledge on large scale hardware vendors (IBM, EMC, BROCADE, CISCO)

Key Responsibilities: • Provide stable Mainframe Storage and Hardware support for Infrastructure • Product installations, customization and evaluation. • Definition, maintenance and modification of existing z/Series Storage and Hardware products • Manage TAPE library management system • Perform problem analysis and recovery in the storage, hardware and software environment. • Perform reporting on storage and hardware environment as required. • Ensure the Storage and Hardware environments meet all audit and security requirements. • Control all aspects of storage, including initializing and assigning storage volumes to meet service levels • Provide on-call support to maintain availability of storage subsystems and processes • Establish, document and maintain storage standards, policies and procedures • Use performance reports/metrics to identify process/availability improvement opportunities • Research and assess new technology for potential deployment • Conduct change inspections; determine associated risks and readiness for implementation • Work together with Performance & Capacity and Account teams to ensure adequate tape/disk capacity is installed and available • Implement appropriate tools and processes to automate repeated tasks • Provide disaster recovery (business continuation) services for restoring data to a previous level within mutually-agreed time frames

Location: Remote

Salary and other Compensation: Annual salary for this position is $(90,000- 125,000) depending on experience and other qualifications of a successful candidate.
