Maintenance Assistant Manager - Soho House Amsterdam

As Maintenance Assistant Manager you will be taking care of ad-hoc tasks and providing ongoing maintenance support to the building. In this role you will be supporting the Maintenance Manager. 

Tasks include but are not limited to; 

• Making sure that all areas and facilities of the house are up to the highest maintenance status
  
• Documenting work accomplished and closely liaising with the Maintenance Manager on projects
• Support in administration, coordinate proposals and quotations
• Support Maintenance manager in training and developing the team
• Action necessary safety measures and act as an emergency response coordinator you put (fire) safety at number 1
• Manage painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, locks and keys
• Manage electrical and mechanical repairs
• Manage repairs on fans and air conditioning
• Manage routine plumbing repairs
• Manage carpentry work

What we are looking for

• Experience in maintenance and management in the hospitality/retail industry
• Knowledge of catering-related safety and environmental aspects and facilities
• Must have experience in volume and high pressure operations
• Knowledge of electricity, gas, water and construction
• You are flexible to work on weekends and evenings
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and Dutch
