Maintenance Electrician

The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Maintenance Electrician will be responsible to assist the facilities team with the general maintenance & repair of facility electrical systems. Responsibilities • Install & maintain wiring, control & lighting systems • Inspect electrical components such as transformers & circuit breakers • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices • Read blueprints and/or technical diagrams • Assist team with facility repairs including but not limited to, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, concrete repair and sheetrock • Obtain and maintain various certifications in regards to electric, HVAC and plumbing • Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated issues • Troubleshoot root cause of problems in a cost effective manner in accordance with Maintenance Team and Supervisor • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 1-2 years work experience with electrical system maintenance & repair • Must be able to work Saturdays • Must be able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Referral program • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Schedule: • Weekends as needed People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
