Maintenance Engineer

DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with teams in the maintenance organization and assist line employees in basic maintenance procedures.
• Assist Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in problem identification, troubleshooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair.
• Manage spare parts and indirect materials inventory using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Assist with equipment engineering design evaluations.
• Build preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment availability and capability.
• Handle teams of contractual project contractors and suppliers.

• Experience in civil engineering projects and day-to-day maintenance activities in a manufacturing company.

• Collaborates: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Health and Safety Fundamentals: Championing and modeling proactive health and safety behaviors to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
• Controls Safety: Recognizing controls-related hazards in a manufacturing environment to incorporate safe practices and procedures.
• Drawing Interpretation: Integrating product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support optimal manufacturing processes.
• Equipment/Capital Procurement: Selecting manufacturing equipment that meets Cummins specifications and project needs.
• Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Developing and executing maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement.
• Values Differences: Recognizing the value of different perspectives and cultures.
• Continuous Process Improvement: Implementing process improvement and waste reduction methodologies.
• Controls Engineering Knowledge: Applying controls hardware and software for new or upgraded equipment.
• Ergonomic Fundamentals: Applying ergonomic standards to reduce risk to employees.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Implementing changes in processes, equipment, and applications to meet functional needs.
• Process Documentation: Producing written manufacturing procedures to establish continuity and standardization.

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Ability to handle teams of contractual project contractors and suppliers.
• Preparation of BOQ
• Negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of Civil Engineering concepts
• Experience in monitoring construction progress and ensuring adherence to safety regulations,
• Managing projects within budget and time constraints.
