Maintenance Make Ready Technician - Tacara at Westover Hills

What You'll Be Doing:

As our multi-talented Technician, your time is split between onsite Make Ready and Maintenance duties – so hopefully you know how to have balance! Whether it’s painting, addressing a work-order for a resident, ensuring that apartment homes are ready as scheduled, replacing fixtures or assisting in the achievement of property maintenance goals, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy!

Part of Your Day-to-Day:

• Make Ready:
• Following policies in keeping exterior and interior surfaces protected during painting.
• Filling cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking and/or putty equipment.
• Working with primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish costs. 
• Working  with paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes for rehabbing purposes while using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.  
• Taking responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Performing maintenance requests for residents with friendly, quality services.
• Maintenance: 
• Taking responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Performing maintenance requests for residents with friendly, quality services.
• Using your knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, etc.
• Inspecting vacant apartment homes and prepare for their upcoming occupancy.

• Assisting the Leading Maintenance Technician with preventative maintenance.
• Supporting the office team with various urgent service items, including emergency maintenance and requests.
• Handling lock changes including lock-outs, replacements, and move-ins.
• Operating various hand tools daily, including power tools.
• Carrying out detailed written and verbal instruction and communication.
• Having knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical is preferred.
