Our Opportunity:
Chewy is currently recruiting for Maintenance Technician III at our Fulfillment Center in Dayton, Ohio. This position is used for Preventative Maintenance of the facility conveyance system, fixing, repairing and maintaining warehouse equipment, rack repair & changes, working at heights, performing battery changes, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication and carpentry.
What you'll do:
ยท Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and safely.
ยท Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule.
ยท Perform inspections of conveyor systems, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.
ยท Tasks may include plumbing, painting, rack repair, cleaning, general carpentry skills and metal fabrication.

ยท Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
ยท Ability to problem solve and fix various conveyor and packaging systems.
ยท Complete repair orders and parts usage records.
ยท Work in various seasonal climates.
ยท Follow company policies and safety procedures.
ยท Ensure a safe work environment.
What youโll need:
ยท 3- 5 years technical experience in Distribution or Manufacturing environment
ยท 480/3 phase electrical experience
ยท Low voltage AC/DC experience
ยท Experience with building systems such as fire suppression, air compressors, power distribution
ยท Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic
ยท Standard I/O device knowledge
ยท Conveyor experience preferred
ยท Mechanical experience
ยท Powered industrial truck experience preferred
ยท Windows/ PC experience
ยท HVAC knowledge
ยท Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience
ยท Ability to instruct and mentor others
ยท Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime.
