The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for routing maintenance in the Production Facility.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment and the facility building
• Operates all types of material handling tools to perform maintenance and repair
• Oversees outside service providers for necessary repairs when independent contractors are required
• Executes preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment as required
• Maintains the maintenance shop and work areas in a clean, safe & organized condition
• Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
• Performs tasks assigned by the department leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity & quality goals
• Operate chillers, boilers, and auxiliary equipment
• Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations
• Inspect equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently
• Check safety devices routinely
• Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year mechanical and electrical experience - certifications preferred
