Maintenance Technician - Nights

Hiring for: Monday - Friday, 2:30PM - 11:00PM

ACCOUNTABILITIES

EFFECTIVE INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and strappers
  
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, boilers and cardboard conveyor

Regular maintenance and repair on all housekeeping, power and material handling equipment

Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment

QUALITY MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF FACILITY

• Perform minor electrical/plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
  
• Routine maintenance of heating and air conditioning units
  
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
  
• Sort/stack/load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling
  
• Set up/take down meeting rooms
  
• Upkeep of yard area, fence repair, snow removal/salting
  

EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS AND OUTSIDE VENDORS TO ACHIEVE A COMMON GOAL

• Assist outside contractors to perform various duties
  
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
  

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment
  
• Comply with all MSDS standards and lock out/tag procedures
  
• Ability to climb ladders and run all power equipment
  
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
  
• Must provide own basic set of tools
  
• Ability to use cleaning/disinfecting solutions, oil and equipment according to MSDS procedure
  
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
  
• Basic math and reading skills and legible handwriting
  
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  
• Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately
  
• Regular attendance
  

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical activity may include time standing/walking up to eight hours with scheduled breaks. Ability to work in a multi-level environment, including climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing on a frequent basis
  
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 100 pounds on occasion with assistance
  
• May be required to take a drug screen
  

Pay Range: $25.00 - $37.10
