Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for all employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential painting, commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. • Conduct custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing restrooms, and replenishing supplies. • Maintain the overall appearance of the building by performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed. • Assist with residential painting projects when required, ensuring high-quality finishes. • Carry out industrial cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address facility issues promptly and efficiently. • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies inventory; report any shortages or needs for replenishment. • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Requirements • Previous experience in janitorial services or facilities maintenance preferred. • Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus. • Familiarity with custodial duties including floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
