Summary

Performs work in at least two of the following trades in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related fixtures and utilities: plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
  • A valid State driver's license is required.
  • Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Must be able to work varied work schedules to include split days off, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain Fitness or Recreation Equipment Repair Certification, within six months of accepting the position.

Qualifications

Two years of experience that demonstrates knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Possession of a valid state driver's license.

Education

A positive education is not required.

Some positions have special requirements- Position is a non-critical, sensitive, position requiring access to IT II system and/or access to PII. Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 23 March 2006.- Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.- For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
