Summary
This position is located at CYS McAlester, Oklahoma. Management has the right to assign staff to locations as mission requires.
This position is regular Full-time position with at least 40 hours/week eligible for NAF benefits package and leave accrual.

Conditions of Employment
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
- A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
- Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.
- Schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends. Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors under different types of weather conditions.
- Physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs. There is a requirement to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds frequently and items that are heavier with the assistance of other employees or lift equipment.
- This position requires mandatory drug testing.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- Also works in a kitchen setting and exposed to the possibility of cuts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
- Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job (Please see duties section of this announcement).
- Requires a valid state driver's license (Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15-passenger vehicle OR requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a 24 passenger vehicle.)
Highly Preferred candidates will possess all of the following:
- Work experience transporting children.
- Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a 24-passenger vehicle? Note: Proof MUST be provided.

- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
- Incentives and bonuses will not be paid.
