We are growing rapidly, and our recent acquisition by Ricoh in October 2022 has accelerated our growth. This acquisition will help RICOH support its customers with their growing number of offices, meeting rooms, and learning spaces that are quickly being modified to support hybrid working and learning models. According to recent reports, the number of video conferencing devices, including room-based endpoints, USB room devices, and personal video communication devices, will grow 500% by 2025. We have a new headquarters building in Malvern, PA, and 4 other U.S. offices. (New York, Washington DC, Charlotte, and Dallas) Cenero offers a range of flexible solutions that improve communication, drive productivity, and empower collaboration. Job Summary
The Major Project Engineer is a customer facing position responsible for all aspects of pre-sales and post-sale design activities associated with high value design contracts and opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for interfacing with Enterprise clients and internal Sales Representatives to produce audio visual and conferencing systems designs including scope of work, materials lists, signal flow, requirements, etc.
- Assist the project manager, programmer, and installation technicians in solving technical issues that may arise during the implementation phase, providing change orders as needed.
- Ownership of 5 to 10 concurrent projects in varying phases.
- Complete design and engineering efforts for $4M - $6M of revenue yearly.
- Assist Sales Representatives with Pre-Sales scope development (technical writing, client requirements, caveats, etc.) presentations and cost estimation
- Support Sales Representatives on site visits or client calls with design related activities
- Responsible for all aspects of Cenero's design contracts including revenue, profitability, project & client management, system design and documentation, et al.
- Coordinate AV requirements with appropriate Cenero personnel
- Producing other documentation such as power draw charts, heat loads and wire pull charts
- Assist with the development of appropriate design documentation
- Attend applicable meetings, visit customer sites & conduct site surveys (as required) to gather necessary information
- Professionally represent Cenero to the customer and other project contacts and manage the customer's expectations
- Assist with the design and documentation of systems for Cenero's core business, as needed
- Keep and enter accurate time sheet information
- Ability to interface professionally with clients, either in-person or on the phone
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Applicant must be able to handle the pressure of deadlines on a regular basis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Experience and/or Education
- Applicant must have a 2 or 4 year college degree in a technical field.
- Applicant must have 4 to 5 years of related AV experience.
- Applicant must have knowledge of AV fundamentals and ICIA best practices.
- CTS certification is mandatory. CTS-D is preferred.
- Manufacturing certifications are a plus
- Experience with installing or supporting AV equipment.
Skills
- Applicant must have efficient Excel skills.
- Applicant must have sound technical writing ability.
- Experience creating signal flow diagrams.
- Experience reading floor plans.
- In-depth understanding of acoustics, electrical wiring and control systems is required with a working knowledge of related products and test equipment. Must also have experience with the installation and use of such equipment.
- Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting advance video and audio over IP systems.
- Applicant must have the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Applicant must be able to handle the pressure of deadlines on a regular basis.
