Department OverviewThe emergency call-handling Managed Services team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to ensure the seamless operation, security, and optimization of our clients' public safety environment. We aim to deliver high-quality, proactive, and reliable IT services that align with our customers' operational needs. These services include Patch Management, Antivirus, and Disaster Recovery.
Job Description

Manages the planning, software installation and configuration, optimization, operations, and ongoing maintenance of the 911 consoles and servers. Responsible for capacity planning and continual assessments for process improvement to ensure that processes are well-documented, sustainable, and scalable. Monitors ongoing practices to ensure consistency with policies, compliance regulations, and control requirements. Trains and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


Basic Requirements

  • System Support Experience: 1 - 3 years
  • Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems
  • Performs installation and maintenance of regular patching, validation, and recovery activities
  • Partners with Technical Support to recommend and schedule repairs
  • Provides end users support for applications services. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Reports to Software Upgrade Manager.
  • Experience with Windows System Administration, Linux, and Unix
  • Configure and support software deployment to align with customer local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
  • Maintain deployment of antivirus and Windows security patches.
  • Monitor network stability during software deployment to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Responsible for responding to Disaster Recovery Alerts
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Analytical, fast learner, team-oriented, flexible with strong communication skills.
  • Key experience: Windows Admin Experience, Acronis Backup Solutions, VEEAM Backup, Disaster Recovery troubleshooting, McAfee, MDR Solutions, Trellix, Service Now 
  • Big Plus: Linux, Kaseya VSA, Datto AV, 9-1-1 experience.
